Remodeling in Allied Gardens

Good Home Remodeling in Allied Gardens.

Full-service remodeling and ADU construction for Allied Gardens' 1950s tract ranch homes — design, permits, and build under one roof.

What we see, what we build, in Allied Gardens.

Allied Gardens is flat, walkable, and lined with pepper trees. The neighborhood is built around 1950s tract ranches — modest, simple gable rooflines, attached single-car garages. The bones are good; most homes here are one or two updates away from feeling brand new.

Why Allied Gardens customers pick Good Home Remodeling.

Allied Gardens is part of our daily service zone. Simple bones, well-mapped utilities, and a straightforward San Diego permit process — projects move on schedule.

In-house permitting

We handle San Diego city permitting directly — no third-party expediters, no lost weeks. The permit timeline is built into your written proposal so you know what to expect.

Direct owner involvement

The owner is on every project. A dedicated project manager — Ann, Sam, or Michael — gives you regular on-site updates from start to finish.

Written proposals & timelines

Every project starts with a free consultation and a written proposal: line-item scope, materials direction, and timeline. Change orders are written and approved before work proceeds.

We recently finished an ADU project with Good Home Remodeling and had a really positive experience from start to finish. We were looking for a company that could handle everything — design, architectural plans, permits, and construction — and they took care of the whole process for us. The city approval side was honestly the part we were most nervous about, but they guided us through it and kept everything moving. They handled the plans, permit submittals, revisions, and inspections without us having to chase anyone. The ADU came out even better than we expected. The layout feels open and well-designed, and they paid attention to details we probably wouldn't have thought of on our own. The crew was professional, easy to communicate with, and always kept us updated. It's hard to find a reliable ADU builder who really understands both the construction side and the permitting/design process, but these guys really know what they're doing. Definitely recommend them if you're planning a garage conversion, ADU, or significant home addition.
